Meet Kristina at Girl Expo in New Hampshire!
Teen Pop singer/songwriter Kristina Lachaga, "The Girl With The Big Pink Heart," will be appearing at Girl Expo: Everything Exciting for Girls! on Saturday, May 2nd from 10am-4pm at the Southern New Hampshire University Athletic Complex in Manchester, NH. Lachaga will be doing a concert and Meet & Greet, as well as promoting her #FollowYourHeartsDream message at the only girl-centered, girl-empowering event in the area presented by Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Girls ages 5-18 and their families are invited to this high-energy, action-packed event which features over 100 exhibitors, main stage shows, presentations, giveaways, a live radio broadcast by WZID, and more!
Lachaga, a former Girl Scout herself, is excited to return to the New Hampshire/Boston area after visiting local schools in June 2014 on a 17-week concert tour promoting Anti-Bullying at schools and venues across the country. The tour visited area elementary, middle, and high schools where her personal "Sticks and Stones" message reached thousands of students.
"I love using my voice to make an impact and help 'Stand and Defend' against bullying. It's amazing to know my story can inspire someone to make a change or reach out for help if they're being bullied or know someone who is," Lachaga says about being an avid anti-bullying advocate.
While in the area last year, Lachaga also visited and performed for the kids and families at Shriner's Children's Hospital in Boston and area Boys and Girls Clubs. She also made a recent appearance in April 2015 at Kidabaloo in Dover, NH with Amber Montana, star of Nickelodeon's "The Haunted Hathaways."
The rising Pop star has had an exciting past year, performing at Girls' Life Magazine's Official Austin Mahone Pre-Show with The Vamps, Disney's Kelli Berglund, and X Factor's Bea Miller, opening for Heffron Drive (featuring Kendall Schmidt of Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush), performing at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Gala which also featured James Wolpert from NBC's The Voice, and opening direct support for Lava Records/Republic recording artist Liam Lis. In March 2014, teen celeb site Fanlala named Lachaga as one of their "favorite stars on the rise." She also released 3 self-written singles on iTunes (No Doubt, Won't Wait Forever, and Calendar).
While on tour, Lachaga had the opportunity to visit and perform at Children's Hospitals, including Ryan Seacrest's Seacrest Studios in Atlanta where she did an in-studio interview and performance. During the 2014 holiday season, "The Girl With The Big Pink Heart" was honored to help make Christmas wishes come true for some very deserving kids, working with the 2014 TODAY Show Toy Drive, Ronald McDonald House Charities, United Way, and Angels For Kids.
